Fireplace Maintenance & Safety Inspection

Our furnace servicing crew perform a 360° tune-up and safety inspection on your furnace. We cover every component of the unit to ensure not only that it’s operating at peak performance, but also to avoid any future safety risks or large, costly repairs.
We’re equipped with the latest equipment to identify any gas leaks, carbon monoxide emissions, and performance related issues. After servicing your furnace, we’ll provide you with a complete checklist of the tests conducted and actions performed.
Listed below are a few of the tasks carried out in our tune-up and inspection:

  • Test for carbon monoxide emissions.

  • Check all gas connections and components for gas leaks.

  • Measure and ensure optimum gas pressure levels.

  • Confirm proper start-up and ignition.

  • Cycle furnace to monitor the ignition and flame.

  • Ensure thermostat is working properly.

  • Inspect and clean the ignitor, spark electrode, and pilot assembly.

  • Inspect and clean burners and burner compartment.

  • Remove, clean, and lubricate blower assembly (including housing, wheel, and motor).

  • Clean fresh air intake screen.

  • Check and flush condensate drains.

  • Inspect and tighten electrical connections.

  • Ensure all wires are intact and functioning properly.

  • Inspect combustion-air opening for blocks or restrictions.

  • Audit blower fan to ensure proper airflow.

  • Inspect heat exchanger for cracks and corrosion.

  • Examine air filter efficiency. 19. Test capacitor performance.

  • Check for proper temperature rise and adjust blower speed as needed.

  • Perform amp test on draft inducer motor.

  • Identify and replace burnt fuses.

  • Remove debris from condensate pipes.

  • Inspect venting system for leaks.

  • Check for potential flue obstructions.

  • Check ignitor resistance.

  • Inspect safety limit switches.
