Mark15 September 2026UPDATE 14/09/26: June from Kirkstone contacted us directly to offer her sincere apologies and provided a very reasonable resolution to the issue. There was clearly a breakdown of communication between the technician and the Kirkstone office. In the future I would hope that the technician will call the office and ask if a $790 charge for 90 minutes of labor is justifiable. Given June's response to this matter I rescind my earlier comments. I do believe there is ethics at play and not targeted gouging. This was a fault of poor communication which should be easily rectified in the future. Well done June and we look forward to calling on your services again. 4 stars because this issue although resolved should have been avoided. Hopefully 5 starts on the next encounter. 13/09/26 Original post: They are without ethics...do not hire this company. They tried to charge my 96 year old mother in-law $790.00 for less than 90 minutes of vacuuming one furnace and two gas fireplaces. No parts were supplied. The technician came an hour late with a vacuum and a multi head screw driver and that was it. We're still thinking we should report them to the Better Business Bureau and call the North Shore News so they can alert others of their targeted gouging of North Shore seniors.Posted on Google

Their gas fitters are genuinely world class, we had Jimmy to fix our hvac - incredibly knowledgeable, thorough and professional. Their Red Seal plumbers, Chad and Marlin, also came out to fix a leak in my kitchen sink and did a brilliant job. What really sets this company apart is that they genuinely seem to care about doing the job properly rather than rushing in and out. They don’t charge by the hour, so you never feel like the clock is ticking or that the work is being dragged out to increase the bill. They take their time, explain what they’re doing, and make sure everything is properly checked and taken care of. It’s so refreshing compared with some of the “cowboy” contractors you hear about these days who seem more interested in making a quick buck. These guys are the complete opposite - honest, reliable, skilled and clearly take pride in their work. James, the owner, and June, the manager, also go above and beyond to make you feel looked after. Communication is excellent, everyone is friendly and professional, and you really feel like you’re in safe hands from start to finish. A genuinely trustworthy heating, cooling and plumbing company with people who care about their customers and the quality of their work. 10/10 - I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them!Load more
